Covid-19 Update, News

Armour Systems Statement 03/04/2020 – Coronavirus (COVID 19)

Further to my previous statement 19th March and as many of you know, we closed the Lyon Road site in line with government expectations and the Prime Minister’s subsequent announcement for only essential works to continue.

To date I can report that all Armour Systems staff although not at work are keeping well. This second brief statement is to assure you that our objectives remain, to protect the health and well-being of our staff, suppliers and customers, to manage the installation of our products and services to our customers in line with government directives and to remotely maintain communications with our staff, suppliers and customers whilst the factory is shutdown.

Like you, we are as keen to return to work as early as possible and we will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.

If you have any questions please contact the contract  manager assigned to your project or email:

Covid-19 Update, News

Armour Systems Statement 19/03/2020 – Coronavirus (COVID 19)

In relation to the current situation with Coronavirus Covid-19 I would like to convey important information to keep you up to date with our Lyon Road factory operations.

We all know we are trading in challenging times, that may become more difficult, but we can only focus on matters we can control and influence for what, we think now, will be the best outcome. Our aim and purpose is to endeavour to maintain an uninterrupted service whilst remaining diligent and responsive to government recommendations and guidance. That service depends upon healthy team members and their well-being and co-operation and we have taken steps to provide all staff with clear information on the virus and we have directed them to NHS websites for their reference and information.

We are continuing to undertake additional daily cleaning procedures and we expect any colleague suffering from the recognised symptoms of the Coronavirus infection to stay at home, in line with medical guidelines.

As long as the majority of the workforce remains healthy the team can continue to do what it does best. In any event, our project managers will keep you informed of developments specific to your project. We continue to work closely with all our customers and supply partners and as the overall trading situation changes we will communicate any issues when they occur. As anticipated, some master-planning schedules are now slipping and access to sites has prevented the installation teams from attending venues to build showcases and display products. This scenario requires goods to be moved in to storage until such times as a new installation date can be arranged. We understand that all parties in the process of building exhibitions have concerns about the impact of the Coronavirus to their business or organisation and we trust that a spirit of collaboration and common sense will prevail.

In the final analysis we all have to be guided by government decisions.

Best regards

Andrew Gascoigne
